Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship in Violent-conflict Settings: Challenges and Opportunities

Empowering women through entrepreneurship in violent-conflict contexts not only improves socioeconomic welfare of but also help restoring peace and social inclusion society. This paper aims at exploring the challenges opportunities facing empowerment contexts. A qualitative research approach is employed for achieving objective study. Data study were collected an in-depth semi-structured interview participant observation. total number twenty-three (23) participants purposely selected from five different communities affected by Boko Haram insurgency Northeast Nigeria. The major findings revealed that entrepreneur a context multifaceted efforts to curtail these require comprehensive all-inclusive approach. further apart numerous challenges, environment presents wide range exploitation. recommends more gender-sensitive program needed achieve sustainable settings. Also, need adequate orientation targeted beneficiaries towards purposeful programs.
